About
The Kingwood Democratic Committee was formed to support progressive candidates by bringing together a community of like-minded neighbors. We are committed to supporting the principles of democracy, the values of our community, including its rural nature and its agricultural richness, and respect for the diversity in our population.

Long a one-party township, we are proud that Kingwood now has an active Democratic Committee. And it is growing! The number of registered Democrats has expanded by over 33% in the past few years.
Our group got its start in 2016 when it was formed by two concerned people. Over the subsequent years as more people have become involved we have been able to expand the scope of our activities and the types of support that we can offer to candidates in local, state and national elections. We have been able to bring state and national candidates to Kingwood Township where they meet us and learn about the needs of our community. Our state and national representatives have accepted invitations to our Township that give our citizens an opportunity to meet them on a personal level, discover their philosophies and express our local concerns.
